GET INVOLVED
Over 300,000 low-income residents are eligible to receive ENLS services.
Thousands go unserved because of ENLS's limited resources.
Volunteer Involvement is key to ENLS' access to justice mission.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Make a change in the fight for equal justice. Join us at Essex-Newark Legal Services. We provide comprehensive legal services to more than 4,000 Essex County residents living in poverty each year.
ENLS is committed to a work culture of zealous advocacy, respect, diversity and inclusion, client-oriented defense, access to justice, and excellent representation.
ENLS provides attorneys the opportunity to donate time assisting low-income residents with a civil legal problem. This may mean that someone who would otherwise have gone unserved receives help. Attorneys who provide 25 hours of service to ENLS clients earn an exemption from mandatory court assignments. In addition, attorneys are eligible to participate in legal training provided by Legal Services of New Jersey, which can meet mandatory CLE requirements. Most important, participating attorneys know that their time and experience helped improve the life of an individual or family. To learn more, contact us at ahernandez@lsnj.org or register online at PROBONONJ. If registering online, be sure to select “get started,” and then “Essex-Newark Legal Services”.
